We've had a nice fall, and have some fun memories. These photos were taken different days, and are in chronological order, but I figured out how to put a bunch of photos on the blog at a time, which meant not referring to the date as I was posting.
KJ and Dad looking for critters the middle of September:
KJ has graduated from the fancy grocery carts in the shapes of cars and such, and now wants to push his own cart. That's Grandpa up ahead. This was taken with my iphone.
KJ goes through spells of preferring one or two kinds of toy at a time. He is asking to be read to more often now.
He's still a fun garden helper. There is plenty of dirt for him to dig at our garden across the street. We had fun digging pototoes, and picking some other veggies toward the end of September.
KJ enjoyed putting weeds on the compost pile. He thought the railroad tie was pretty cool to jump off and on.
We had a yummy supper cooked by our son a couple weeks ago. Afterward, we went to the basement, and the guys got his favorite train set out. I took lots of photos and videos, because KJ loves to watch trains on YouTube. When he was over last week, he enjoyed watching his own videos.
We like to play active games, too, like "Pony Boy" and "Trot, Trot to Boston". Rose, their black lab likes to be part of the activity, just like our Heidi. Heidi is more needy, though, when KJ is around. That's Aunt Ashley in the background, either on Facebook, or playing a game.
One of Larry's brothers lives in Colorado. He was in town a couple weekends ago, and we went to an area lake. It was a fun time, and I took lots of photos there.
KJ and Grandpa:
With Mom and Dad:
Grandpa and KJ pick up sticks in our yard, and when he saw these, he picked them up and said something about putting them on the campfire, which hadn't been lit yet. Pretty smart!
The rest are from this past weekend. KJ has been wanting to play with the different kinds of blocks we have.
We need to get more books that have trains in them.
I put Saturday's gardening photos in my gardening blog, A Corner Garden.
KJ, every time we see you, we are amazed at how big you are getting. Thank you for being such a fun garden helper!
Love,
Grandma

I'm a big fan of photos taken from behind and so I especially like the one taken at the grocery store and also the one of KJ and his dad sitting on the bank of the water.
ReplyDeletePhillip played with magnets a lot when he was KJ's age.
